HR Copywriting

Although I earned a Master’s Degree from the School of Human Resources & Labor Relations at Michigan State University, my career in HR was short-lived once the “panic of ’92” hit shortly after graduation. Notwithstanding, my HR skills served me well in my career as employers would ask me to write job descriptions and training guides. During my stint in the restaurant business during the 90s, I wrote an elaborate training guide for our steakhouse – the company’s first venture in white table cloth dining – was so critically acclaimed, that I was promoted to a newly-created position as General Manager for this successful company of 4 stores and a holding company.

Since that time, I have developed orientation guides and employee manuals for companies in the IT, recruiting and association sectors, and have conducted orientations for clients with OPT candidates in their workforce. I have also helped clients develop content for products and services designed to help companies meet their diversity and inclusion goals and objectives.

Good writing for essential HR documents can be as important developing strong content for sales and marketing. How do you want to motivate your employees? We can help.
